Northampton I-91 Professional Center
Today marked a milestone in the Northampton I-91 Professional Center project on Atwood Drive. A group of supporters, including Mayor David Narkewicz, building co-owners, Curt Shumway and Eileen O’Leary Sullivan, Northampton Economic Development Committee Director, Teri Anderson, Northampton Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Suzanne Beck, several city council members, eager soon-to-be tenants and Northampton residents, gathered Thursday January 12, 2012 for a groundbreaking ceremony.

Fastenal Co. Renews Lease
The Fastenal Co. has renewed its lease of 4,000 sf located at 317 Meadow Street in Chicopee, MA. Development Associates represented both the tenant and the landlord throughout the renewal process.
Fastenal is America's largest industrial supply store network, providing customers with local service and immediate product availability.
JN Phillips Auto Glass Opens a New Warehouse
JN Phillips has signed a lease to open a 7,500 sf warehouse location at 140 Padgette Street in Chicopee, MA. The build-out for this newest tenant is expected to be completed by March 1, 2012.
With the addition of JN Phillips, this will bring the occupancy of the two-building complex adjacent to Westover airport to 100%. This is the 15th building in Chicopee that has been developed and is managed by Development Associates.
JN Phillips is a family owned and operated business based in Woburn, MA dedicated to maintaining their reputation as New England's largest and most respected auto glass company.
Build-Out Complete
Development Associates has completed a 1,350 sf build out for McLeod & Dewey Associates. The local packaging company is growing and will being leasing an additional 1,350 sf. of high warehouse space in an adjoining unit at 630 Silver Street in Agawam, MA.
New Tenant Welcomed into the Agawam Industrial Park
Great Eastern Energy has signed a lease with Agawam Silver, LLC to lease office space at 630 Silver Street in Agawam MA. Development Associates represented both parties in the leasing process.
From Atlantic to Pacific, Great Eastern Energy now serves over 15,000 commercial and industrial accounts within thirty major markets across the United States. Great Eastern Energy joins other quality tenants such as Reliable Temps, Reliance Laser and Cambridge Vacuum Engineering.
Sale of Former Verizon Building in Windham, NH
Development Associates successfully brokered the sale of 8 Industrial Drive, Windham, NH to JFJ Holdings, LLC. The building is a one story, industrial warehouse with office space, on 5 acres of land formerly occupied by both Verizon and Fairpoint Communications.
Construction Underway
As of November 8th, the entire site has been excavated to rough grades, including our Stormwater Overflow Basin. The Water and Sewer stubs are being brought onto the site from Atwood Drive.
The Parking lot has recieved 12" of compacted gravel fill and is scheduled to recieve the base layer of Asphalt on November 15th.
The footprint of the foundation is active with our Geo-pier contractor installing 285 aggregate piers up to 20 feet below grade. We anticipate pouring the fouadation beginning in the first week of December. Steel is ordered and scheduled to be delivered in mid-December.
Western Mass Business Expo
Thank you to everyone that stopped by Development Associates' booth during the Western Mass Business Expo on October 18th. We were able to catch up with old friends, and meet a lot of wonderful new ones. The Expo was a great opportunity to be able to network with lots of local business and showcase what Development Associates is all about. Innovative Plastic Systems
Welcome to our newest tenant, Innovative Plastic Systems. Established in 1987, IPS has grown from a small service organization to a competent technical leader in machinery rebuilding, control upgrades and field service.
The company has leased 5,122 sf of industrial space at 15 Third Street in the Palmer Industrial Park.
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Development Associates of would like to congratulate our newest tenant. The Sisters of Providence Health Systems held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Mercy Hearing Center at their brand new office in the Agawam Crossing Professional Building in Agawam. In attendance to help welcome the staff to their new home was Daniel Moen, President of the Sisters of Providence Health Systems, Mayor Richard Cohen of Agawam, Ken Vincunas, owner of Development Associates, and many other members of the Mercy staff and members of the community. The Mercy Hearing Center is staffed with licensed, certified audiologists who provide diagnostic, treatment, rehabilitation and counseling services for people with hearing problems. Newest Tenant Signs Lease at
the I-391 Business Park
Tri-Wire Engineering Solutions Inc. is the newest tenant at 317 Meadow Street, Chicopee, MA, leasing approximately 3,000 sf. in the 40,000 sf. - 2 building complex. Tri-Wire will be joining Fresenius Medical Care, Alert Ambulance, A.H. Harris and others in this multi-tenant location.
Tri-Wire currently provides voice, video, and data installation services for the industry's leading content providers including Comcast, Charter, Cablevision, and Cox Communications and Time Warner Cable.
Successful Lease Renewal
The Learning Center, located in Windsor, CT recently renewed their lease with Development Associates. The 3,500 square foot buildings houses one of four facilities throughout CT. Learn more about what services The Learning Center provides here.
Welcome Mercy Medical Center
We are excited to announce our newest tenant, Mercy Medical Center at Agawam Crossing. Mercy will be opening it's first community based audiology practice on the first floor of the new, 32,000 sf. Class A medical and professional building located at 200 Silver Street in Agawam. The new facility will provide diagnostic, treatment, rehabilitation and counseling services for people with hearing problems. Construction is currently underway and is expected to be complete in July.
Mercy is joining Baystate Rehab, AspenCross Financial, Agawam Crossing Dental and others at the 200 Silver Street location. Read about all of the services Mercy Hearing Center has to offer.
Northampton/I-91 Professional Center proposed for Atwood Drive.
Kenneth P. Vincunas, of Development Associates, is proposing an 80,000 square foot two-building project for professional and medical office tenants. The project is being developed with Atwood Drive LLC.
The project includes a three-story office building on more than four acres of land adjacent to the hotel. One building would be 39,000 square feet and the second 43,000 square feet. Tenants will be able to design a custom floor plan for between 1,000 to 12,000 square feet.
