Groundbreaking Ceremony

We are happy to announce that the groundbreaking ceremony of the Northampton I-91 Professional Center on Atwood Drive in Northampton has been scheduled for Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the construction site.

To date the foundation work has started and structural steel is scheduled to arrive on site by January 15th. The base layer of pavement for the parking area has recently been installed.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Development Associates of would like to congratulate our newest tenant. The Sisters of Providence Health Systems held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Mercy Hearing Center at their brand new office in the Agawam Crossing Professional Building in Agawam. In attendance to help welcome the staff to their new home was Daniel Moen, President of the Sisters of Providence Health Systems, Mayor Richard Cohen of Agawam, Ken Vincunas, owner of Development Associates, and many other members of the Mercy staff and members of the community. The Mercy Hearing Center is staffed with licensed, certified audiologists who provide diagnostic, treatment, rehabilitation and counseling services for people with hearing problems. Tri-Wire Engineering Solutions Inc. is the newest tenant at 317 Meadow Street, Chicopee, MA, leasing approximately 3,000 sf. in the 40,000 sf. - 2 building complex. Tri-Wire will be joining Fresenius Medical CareAlert AmbulanceA.H. Harris and others in this multi-tenant location.

Windsor Learning Center Successful Lease Renewal

Mercy Medical Center

 Welcome Mercy Medical Center

We are excited to announce our newest tenant, Mercy Medical Center at Agawam Crossing. Mercy will be opening it's first community based audiology practice on the first floor of the new, 32,000 sf. Class A medical and professional building located at 200 Silver Street in Agawam.  The new facility will provide diagnostic, treatment, rehabilitation and counseling services for people with hearing problems. Construction is currently underway and is expected to be complete in July.

Northampton/I-91 Professional Center proposed for Atwood Drive.

Kenneth P. Vincunas, of Development Associates, is proposing an 80,000 square foot two-building project for professional and medical office tenants. The project is being developed with Atwood Drive LLC.

The project includes a three-story office building on more than four acres of land adjacent to the hotel. One building would be 39,000 square feet and the second 43,000 square feet. Tenants will be able to design a custom floor plan for between 1,000 to 12,000 square feet.

 Padgette St Project Adds Invacare

Development Associates has completed the 4800 sq ft interior build-out for Invacare at the new Westover Business Center. The 72,000 sq ft industrial center located in Chicopee MA offers high-quality modern flex spaces from 4,000 to 25,000 sq ft. Development Associates represented the property owners and CB Richard Ellis represented the tenant in the transaction.

 Seahorse BioScience to expand Chicopee, MA operations

Seahorse Bioscience, an industry leading analytical instruments, biomanufacturing systems and consumable labware products firm is currently expanding is operation at 300 Griffith Road Chicopee, MA.

The interior changes, expected to be complete by August, will improve engineering and assembly areas and create approximately 20 new jobs.

 National Mobility Becomes Latest Tenant at Padgette St Project

National Seating & Mobility, Inc. is a nationwide leader in providing customized wheelchairs and adaptive seating systems for individuals with loss of mobility due to trauma, physical abnormality, structural defect or disease.

MSC Relocating to larger Agawam Space

MSC, a longtime tenant at 630 Silver Street is expanding into 2800 sq ft 1 mile away at 68 Gold Street. Both buildings are managed by Development Associates and owned by related partnerships. The space is part of the 72,000 SF multi-tenant industrial center recently completed by Development Associates.

Aspen Cross to join Agawam Crossing

Aspen Cross Financial Group has signed a lease to become the newest tenant at 200 SIlver Street, the new professional building known as Agawam Crossing. The new second floor office should be completed by the end of the first quarter and open for business. Liam Reynolds of SD Plotkin represented the tenant and Development Associates represented the Owner in the transaction.

Worthington moves to Deerfield

Contract assembly company Worthington Assembly has relocate to 14 Industrial Drive in South Deerfield. Development Associates completely renovated the interior for Worthington and the property owner O'Leary-Vincunas LLC.

Worthington Assembly, Inc. is a well equipped contract manufacturing firm established with focus on printed circuit board, cable & harness and light box build assembly with customers in various industries from urology to underground drilling.

AT&T Service Center Completed at Westover

AT&T has joined the new Westover Business Center at 150 Padgette Street in Chicopee. The new space is part of the 72,000 sq ft multi-tenant industrial center recently completed by Development Associates.

Porter and Chester Completes Campus

Porter and Chester Institute has added another 6000 sq ft at its Chicopee Campus to complete occupancy of all three buildings on the site. This gives the Institute additional classroom space for additional programs.

At the Chicopee campus Porter and Chester offers programs in Administrative Health Services, Automotive, CADD, Computer Networking, Dental Assisting, Electrical, HVACR, and Medical Assisting.

Qteros Lab underway at Westover

US-based biofuel manufacturer Qteros has announced plans to build a $3.2 million cellulosic ethanol plant in Chicopee, MA. The 20,000 sf facility is the latest tenant in the 72,000 sf multi-tenant industrial complex developed by Development Associates of Agawam.

The facility, which will demonstrate the company’s patented process for converting plant matter to ethanol, is expected to be in small-scale production early next year. ITT Power Solutions joins Meadow Street Complex

Meadow Street Partners announces a lease with ITT Power systems at its 391 Industrial Center in Chicopee.

ITT will use the space to test and research a new engine design.

 

DA completes State Agency Offices

On behalf of affiliate Greenfield Corporate Center LLC, Development Associates has completed 26,346 sf of office space - the new home of the regional Department of Children and Families and the Department of Transitional Assistance. Development Associates buys Westover site with JV Partner

Development Associates of Agawam has purchased a 7.6 acre site in Westover Airpark West as a joint venture with an investor from Long Island, NY. The group intends to build a 72,000 sq ft multi-tenant industrial complex with an anchor tenant occupying 25,000 sq ft for a flooring products distribution center. The remainder of the project will offer industrial rental units from 4000 sq ft to be finished to suit a variety of users. This project represents the 10th building to be developed at Westover by Development Associates and their 15th building in Chicopee.

Anytime Fitness Leases 3900 sf

24-hour fitness leader Anytime Fitness has signed a lease at 200 Silver Street Agawam with construction to begin immediately. The facility will provide state-of-the-art fitness machines, free-weights, in a modern, attractive setting available 24 hours per day. The facility is expected to be ready for members in October, 2008.

 

Baystate Health Project Commences at Agawam Crossing

Approval has been received from the MA Department of Public Health to commence construction of the 2600 sq ft physical therapy/rehabilitation facility at the new Agawam Crossing building at 200 Silver Street, Agawam, MA. The project is part of the 28,000 sq ft professional/medical building being completed at the corner of Silver and Suffield Streets in Agawam.

SunLife Extends Greenfield Call Center Lease

Following its recent acquisition of GenWorth, Sunlife has extended its lease of approximately 40,000 sq ft of suburban Class A space. The space is part of the Greenfield Corporate Center on Munson Street which is also home to Phoenix Wealth Mgmt, Crocker Communications, the US Veterans Affairs clinic and others.

Dr. Hauschka Office Renovation Project Completed

Development Associates has completed a total renovation of 17,500 sq ft in South Deerfield, converting the former Millitech facility to the corporate offices for Dr. Hauschka's Skin Care, a world-wide provider of holistic remedies and cosmetics. The renovated building provides new space for marketing, customer service, training and executive offices. The project features solar lighting, natural marmoleum flooring, lots of natural light and an airy full-height open office area.

Dr. Hauschka Warehouse Completed

A new 12,000 sq ft energy-efficient distribution warehouse has been completed and leased to Dr. Hauschka's Skin Care in the South Deerfield Industrial Park. The new facilty is part of Dr. Hauschka's corporate move from Hatfield to this project developed and managed by Development Associates. The building includes additional insulation, and 12 skylights in a solar-white roof.

Agawam Crossing Project Continues

Construction continues on the new 32,000 sq ft medical/professional office building at the corner of Suffield and Silver Streets, known as Agawam Crossing. The 2-story project offers high quality spaces from 300 to 15,000 sf with custom interiors finished to suit tenant requirements.

 

Microtest Facility Completed

A new 20,000 sq ft facility leased to Microtest Labs has been completed and turned over to the tenant. Development Associates handled the leasing and build-out on behalf of the building owner Suffield Street Partnership.

Microtest Laboratories, founded in 1984, is a leader in testing services and contract manufacturing for the medical device, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries. The new facility will expand product stability testing services and add a new packaging laboratory.

Industrial Facility Listed for Sale in Agawam

Representing the owner of this 97,700 square foot facility, Development Associates/Sperry Van Ness listed 609 Silver Street in Agawam for sale. Lambda Zero has recently signed a lease at 317 Meadow Street in Chicopee. They leased a total of 6,000 square feet. This location offers 3,720 square feet of office space and 2,280 square feet of warehouse. Lambda Zero specializes in optic laser coatings. This space will serve as the companies headquarters for the next 3 years.
